S9280-64X 可組成高效能、高密度、固定配置和提供快速第二、三層功能的雲端數據中心網路，為了那些從 10GE 和 40GE 升級至 25GE、50GE 和 100GE 的雲端數據中心， S9280-64X 提供必要的無縫轉換，以維持並增強介面速度及密度。而這台機器所能提供的靈活度，最明顯的就是在於它能支援包含 10GE、25GE、40GE、50GE 和 100GE 的速度，擁有這個功能就能滿足所有應用程式的需求，以及東西向流量所帶來的挑戰。

S9280-64X 是一款專為雲端數據中心所設計的高密度交換器，搭載 64 埠 QSFP28 100GE 連接埠，整體傳輸速度可高達 12.8Tbps，延遲低於 800ns，並提供 40 MB 的緩衝區。每一個 QSFP28 連接埠可以選擇配置 4 埠 10GE、4 埠 25GE或 2 埠 50GE，最高可達 128 個連接埠。
