UfiSpace Brings Highly Flexible Routing Architecture to Edge Networks

New Taipei, Taiwan, August, 23, 2022 -- UfiSpace, the leading enabler of end to end open transport network solutions announced today the release of their high density 25G router capable for aggregation, edge and core network applications. The S9701-82DC extends the benefits of a highly scalable, pay-as-you-grow routing architecture from the core backbone further into the edge of the network.

The S9701-82DC is part of UfiSpace’s S9700 series of open core routers, capable of performing as a standalone router or being interconnected as a distributed disaggregated chassis routing system using UfiSpace’s S9705-48D fabric switches. With the new addition of a 25G option, service providers can now start with building smaller core routing clusters at locations closer to their customers where data traffic is typically lower, but requires more ports.

With features such as SyncE and PTP timing support, Time Sensitive Networking, optional TCAM, 4GB deep buffer, and 2.4Tbps of switching capacity, the S9701-82DC can empower service providers to implement multiple 5G services effectively into their edge network. It has 64, 25GE SFP28 and 12, 100GE QSFP28 service ports suitable for applications such as aggregating massive data from server farms and switching for different application scenarios or terminating traffic from users.
