[英文] UfiSpace Collaborates with Telecom Infra Project to Expand the Scope and Value of Disaggregated Open Systems

UfiSpace is excited to announce it has joined the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) to build new technologies which will make telecom infrastructure more open and more efficient. 

TIP was formed in 2016 and is led by a dynamic Board of Directors from industry-leading companies and boasts over 500 member organizations across the industry. It seeks an engineering-focused, collaborative methodology to drive innovation across the entire telecom landscape with the goal of building technologies that are better, more efficient, and more open.

As a TIP member, we will collaborate with TIP’s Disaggregated Cell Site Gateway (DCSG) Project Group, which will help global tier one carrier to support the high bandwidth requirement needed for 5G cell site backhaul. 

Mobile data traffic continues to rise globally, and new customer networking application are growing rapidly. A new approach is needed for the evolution of telecom router platforms to enable flexibility in network design and to easily scale up and down hardware and software components with cost effectiveness. 

To meet these demands, UfiSpace has developed a generally available HW device compliant with TIP’s DCSG specification and has contributed its design to the Open Optical and Packet Transport Project Group. Furthermore, UfiSpace DCSG solution has successfully participated on a trial in production network carrying LIVE customer traffic with several NOS companies certified by Carriers. 

Our aim is to optimize telecom infrastructure based not only on network demands for today, but for tomorrow, too. Being a member of TIP will help us achieve this objective and we look forward to our continued contributions to the OOPT (Open Optical & Packet Transport) of Backhaul Projects and to the Disaggregated Cell Site Gateways Project Group, fostering an ecosystem of network innovation and take DCSG into production networks.
