UfiSpace, DriveNets, and Credo Showcases 350Tbps Routing Cluster Orchestration at OCP Summit
This year at the OCP Summit 2021 Experience Center, UfiSpace, Credo and DriveNets once again collaborate to build the world's largest network routing system using the distributed disaggregated chassis design. Our showcase included a demonstration of DriveNet's cloud network orchestration and how Credo's AEC cables can be interconnected with UfiSpace's routing hardware.
What is a Distributed Disaggregated Chassis?
The distributed disaggregated chassis (DDC) was a design contributed by AT&T to OCP and was first commercialized by UfiSpace and DriveNets. It took apart the traditional monolithic routing chassis by distributing each function into standalone white boxes each with its own power and cooling. By doing this, a router can be built according to current capacity and add on additional boxes whenever more is needed. The service provider would have more control over their capital investment by scaling capacity using this pay-as-you-grow model.
UfiSpace Core and Edge Routers
UfiSpace's DDC cluster showcased consists of four components: a 100G and 400G line card system, a 400G fabric switch, interconnected AEC cables and the software.
The 100G router, S9700-53DX, consists of 40x100G service ports and 13x400G fabric ports. The fabric ports are used exclusively for interconnecting it with UfiSpace's fabric switch.
The 400G router, S9700-23D, consists of 10x400G service ports and 13x400G fabric ports. The fabric ports are used exclusively for interconnecting it with UfiSpace's fabric switch.
UfiSpace High Density 400G Line Card System, S9710-76D
The high density 400G line card system, S9705-48D, is UfiSpace's next generation router providing 36x400G service ports taking the routing cluster to capacities never seen before. It also has a TCAM option. For more information about UfiSpace's high density 400G router, please contact our sales team.
The 400G fabric switch, S9705-48D, consists of 48x400G fabric for interconnecting the 100G and 400G line card systems to create a DDC cluster. Additional fabric switches can be added into the cluster to create router capacities ranging from 4Tbps up to 691Tbps.
